The Tribe maintains programs to protect and enhance the scallop fishery, including a certified water quality laboratory that tests surface water within the Menemsha Pond Complex on a weekly basis. The laboratory assesses the presence and concentrations of various water quality criteria and contaminants to help maintain the physical, chemical, and biological integrity of these waters and identify water quality trends that could impact the natural resources within the Complex.
