The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe currently collaborates with the National Atmospheric Deposition Program to monitor acid rain, and assesses the impact of benzene and other air toxics in Akwesasne in conjunction with the Center for Air Resources Engineering and Science at Clarkson University through a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
