Collaboration with a number of organizations such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the New York State Division of Fish, Wildlife and Marine Resources, and non-governmental organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund and The Nature Conservancy may provide valuable benefits to the Tribe’s efforts to conserve its wildlife. These groups can provide information and resources and may be able to help the Tribe identify key wildlife areas in Akwesasne as well as determine useful and effective restoration actions for wildlife in the area.
