The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe could begin to store the seeds of crop varieties grown on the reservation in a community seed bank, and procure seeds from other tribes and seed collections through purchase or exchange. For example, members of the Tribe participated in a recent Haudenosaunee seed exchange workshop, and the Akwesasne Task Force on the Environment holds an annual seed giveaway.
