Work with local, regional, and state agencies to ensure a safe and protected multi-modal transportation system within the Reservation and robust connections to neighboring communities and resources. The transportation network supports the Tribe and the community daily by helping people and goods and services move effectively between locations. Enhancing the protection of the current network, ensuring that culverts and bridges can handle higher peak stream flows, and expanding the multi-modal use capabilities (walking, biking, and ATV use), as well as partnering with State and regional transit entities to ensure that climate projections are considered in transportation upgrades, can all enhance the resilience of the system and the people who use it.
