The Weatherization Program assists approximately thirty (25) families per year reduce energy burden by maximizing the homes air infiltration, ensuring the heating apparatus is functioning at fullest capability and insulating homes to current standards. The Home Rehabilitation Program mirrors the Weatherization Program, in addition to addressing all health & safety concerns in the home. This program ensures Energy Star appliances are installed, that dilapidated windows replaced (with energy star materials), and that water saving measures are addressed when/where necessary in addition to retrofitting homes for handicap accessibility. Both the Weatherization and Home Rehabilitation Programs are closely monitored by Inspectors Certified through the International Building Codes curriculum, ensuring the most up to date energy saving measures are adhered to.
