Enhance [whitebark pine] WBP habitat by using a combination of a fire-management response strategy: fire use for resource benefit, timber harvest activities, mechanical treatments, and planned ignitions (Flathead Indian Reservation Forest Management Plan). To help aide WBP restoration efforts CSKT Tribal Forestry will reintroduce periodic fire to 6,500 to 8,600 acres of WBP habitats by the year 2029.
