The Montana Department of Transportation and the Western Transportation Institute have worked with CSKT to build public awareness and support for wildlife crossing structures and mitigation measures along US Highway 93. After extensive research was conducted on the migration of animals as well and the study on various crossings throughout Canada, 41 wildlife crossing structures were installed along the Peoples way, ranging from small concrete culverts to larger metal culverts and an arched overpass.
