Implement on-the-ground habitat and water quality restoration projects that provide refuges for fish from summer high temperature and winter/spring high-energy flows, such as by: identifying, protecting, and restoring off-channel habitat; identifying and protecting cool water inflows, undercut banks, and deep stratified pools; increasing shading of streams by planting native trees.
