Increase in moose hunting for the specific purpose of intentional decline of the remaining moose heard that moose ticks will disappear when their preferred host animal, moose, are no longer on the landscape. Then, eventually, moose could be returned to the ecosystems with the hope that the ticks would no longer be a problem for them.
