For developing Fuel Management and Burn plan in coordination NRCS Practice 338, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Fire Chief and Fuels Manager Ray Ruiz5 can produce required planning to complete the practice. To conduct prescribed burns in accordance with CALFire and other agencies a Burn Boss-2 certification is required for prescribed burns. Ray Ruiz does hold this certification. Two other Tribal Burn Boss-2 card holders are: Wes Ruise Jr. (La Jolla Reservation), and Danny Manning (Greenville Rancheria). Wes Ruise Jr. and Danny Manning are great resources in developing burn plans and conducting prescribed burns.
