Help individuals prepare for potential climate-related health risks by providing public outreach and education. Increasing public awareness of and preparation for climate related health risks is an important step toward reducing the negative health outcomes that may result from climate change. Because climate change is expected to exacerbate existing health problems, targeting already vulnerable populations, such as the sick or elderly, may be particularly effective initial approach.
