The Tribe has been exploring renewable energy development since about 2008, when it first completed a wind and biomass feasibility study, followed by a 2014 energy efficiency and feasibility study. In 2016, it installed its first 14.25 kW solar PV system at the Tribe’s Natural Resources Administration Building. In 2020, a 52 kW solar PV system was installed at sennwinchen, the Tribe’s Senior Apartment Complex, and in 2023, a 36 kW installation at the Marimn Coeur Center is pending installation.
