The new energy economy presents the opportunity for many new career opportunities, as well as the need for planning and legal and financial coodinration. Extensive job training for existing and emerging technologies will be needed, as both entry level and skilled positions will be needed, particularly for electricians, engineers, and installers The Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s Natural Resource Department is actively working with academic and regional energy development partners, including University of Idaho, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, and Grid Resilience/Tribal Solar Accelerator Fund to procure funding and develop cirriculum to support this effort.
