Restoration approaches require sufficient land to avoid conflict with adjacent landowners over nuisance beaver activity and/or issues of flooding infrastructure. Continued land acquisition in critical habitat areas will require increased funding. Additionally, more data is needed to understand how these interventions impact long-term water temperatures, water storage, and fish survival.
